“Do what you do so well that they will want to see it again and bring their friends.”
– Walt Disney

2023 has been another year filled with volatility within the mortgage and property market. This year, the Bank of England base rate increased from 3.5% to 5.25%. Here at Number One Mortgages, we consider ourselves to be trailblazers and take pride in our commitment to adapt to change with the principle aim of doing what is best for you. Your mortgage journey deserves the best, and our proven track record speaks for itself.

We have the most 5-star Google reviews for any independent mortgage adviser firm based in Sussex and have done so for many years. We thought it was about time that we shouted it out loud and would like your help in doing so!

We want to help your loved ones and would like word to spread that we are the best independent mortgage advice firm in Sussex. To say thank you for any recommendations to friends, family and colleagues, and to help you spread the word we are returning our Winter Warmer Boost Recommend a Friend incentive. We always say thank you with £100* but for this winter it is being increased by 50% to £150!*

Many of you will have remortgaged with us this year and you will know first-hand of our pro-active approach. However, for those that have not, we have it embedded into our processes to routinely search for better rates for you, even after we have secured a product. This allows you to secure an even better deal right up until the new rate needs to take effect, should one become available. Your mortgage provider won’t do that, most mortgage adviser firms won’t do that, but we do, and we do it for you! Look after yourself whilst looking after your friends, family and colleagues too by recommending your adviser here at Number One Mortgages.

For the past 5 months we have seen fixed rates improve across the market and they currently start lower than the Bank of England rate which is rare! So why is this the case? Well, fixed rates are priced against what the Bank of England rate is expected to do, and it is widely forecast that rates will drop once inflation is under control. Inflation dropped to 4.6% in October which is the lowest level in 2 years.

Given that interest rates are higher than what we have been used to, the market is strangely optimistic. If you have been considering moving home, don’t be scared to look at your options. You may be surprised by the market and may even be able to keep the rate you’re currently tied into. Read last month’s newsletter to find out more by clicking here.

Please do remember us in your conversations over this festive period and recommend us to your friends and family. For all recommendations you make before 20th March 2024 you will be eligible for the Winter Warmer Boost incentive of £150*.

Thank you for being wonderful and for continuing to support us!

Enjoy the run-up to Christmas ????

Kevin and the team at Number One Mortgages

*£150 is paid after completion of the mortgage business submitted through Number One Mortgages.
The Winter Warmer Boost incentive is for recommendations received by us between 1st December 2023 & 20th March 2024
